Many years ago a small brown hamster called Hamish bit his young owner, Louise. She put him back in his cage and washed the blood off her finger. Next morning, Hamish was found dead in his cage. He had a respectable
burial in the garden and was replaced soon after with girl hamster: Morag.
One evening, some weeks later, Morag
bit her owner Michael, who washed the blood off his finger after putting her in her cage. Next day, Morag was found dead on the bottom of her cage.
The moral of this story is when a hamster draws blood it dies the next day!
